This project was a lot of fun. It works up really fast and you can make a host of them in varying sizes simply by adjusting your hook and yarn weight. Free pattern. Don't forget to check out my Japanese Crochet Link for detailed information on how to read Japanese Patterns.

that's so cool! I have thought about trying a bowl. I saw a pattern on Etsy but I think I will try your FREE pattern :)
What do you use it for?
I will be making a tutorial for the bowl as the pattern is written in Japanese. You can use it for just about anything. Some suggested making them for the office to sort paper clips, push pins, etc. I was thinking of setting a glass bowl inside and using it like a flower vase or candle votive.
Wow. That's rad. I'm not going to lie...there is no way I could ever replicate that. I am in awe.
@ZanyHW Thank You!
I think you would surprise yourself. It is really a very simple pattern. When I began trying out patterns, I was so skeptical. Like you, I said there is no way this is going to end up being a dog sweater. But I kept on, and low and behold it did end up being a dog sweater. It still amazes me.
When I get the tutorial up, you should give it a try. :-)
Wow! That is beautiful!
I'm your newest follower from Mom Loop Friday Follow! I hope you'll come follow me back!

Thanks so much Shannon... I'm on my to your blog right now!
I love looking at all of these Japanese patterns. Can't say that I have the guts to try them. Actually, between family and hobbies I just don't have the time right now. :)
